Question ? Is this normal

Recommended Posts

I had the sleeve done on the 12th of feb (5) days ago and I feel like I can A, go bad to work already B, eat whole food already Is this normal ? My incisions are healing nicely And I'm not on any pain meds since day two As of right now I'm doing 11/2 of the GNC shakes and broths, crystal light & Water and two spoonfuls of farina per day plus chewable Multivitamin chewable Pepcid AC and a chewable Calcium pill. Is anyone else going thru this ? I want to eat something soiled and I want to hit the gym and do stuff !!

Plumb, people do feel like that early on, but don't do it. Your stomach is not healed and if you go too quickly and eat solid foods you could seriously damage yourself and end up in the hospital. Stick with the plan. It's hard, but you can do it. Ask your doctor about when you can hit the gym, you don't want to pull stitches. Walking you can certainly do, but get your doctor's clearance before trying anything else this early on. Good luck :)

You take longer to heal from the inside than from the outside. Just think of your pouch like a baby. You wouldn't feed certain things to a baby. Good luck and you can do this!

I'm 4 mos out on Mon and still can't do scrambled or boiled eggs. I'm jealous! 23 lbs is great keep up the good work. I still mainly live off of deli shaved ham, cheeses, cottage cheese, dannon light&fit Greek yogurt and chicken and real cheeseburgers. I do eat kashi Protein Cereal with Braums 1% milk and it hasn't seemed to slow down my loss. Down 57lbs since sleeve! Can't wait until summer weather!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
