Tell Us About Yourself and Where You're From

Hi,

My name is Cori and I am originally from southern California. I moved up here in the mid to late 90s. I am 40 years old now and live in NE Portland. I got sleeved a year ago in Mexico and had a great experience! I lost almost 100 lbs. I am stable now but notice myself falling into old routines. I have a vice by the name of ice cream. What's yours?

I am a born again Christian so I am very active in my church. I went to art school for graphic design last year and several years before that. I worked in the legal field for five years until my health starting becoming a problem just before my surgery and now I pet sit for a living while taking care of an elderly woman. I hope to meet more people who have had WLS in my area.

Hi! My name is Lori and I just had my surgery two weeks ago. I live in Albany and work in Salem. I was a pretty healthy (but slightly overweight) person until an injury sidelined me a couple of years ago. I started gaining weight at an alarming rate because I could no longer be as active as I used to be. I had surgery for this injury almost two years ago and am just now starting to feel like the area is healing.

I decided on weight loss surgery because I couldn't stand the thought of continuing to get bigger and more unhealthy. I am now off of the blood pressure meds and starting to feel healthy again. I can get back in the Water now, so I'm headed back to water exercise class tonight. I'm really looking forward to that.

I'm also looking forward to dusting off my golf clubs and hitting the links, as well as hiking. I've missed a lot in the last couple of years and can't wait to be a healthy, active person again!
