Just keep in mind that anything you gain now, you will have to lose *on top of* what you wanted to lose pre-op. It's not worth it. The whole idea of "nothing tastes as good as thin feels" is SO freaking correct, you don't want to mess it up. FOR REAL.

Do you have to follow a pre op diet? Maybe let yourself have ONE "last meal" and try to keep on track the best you can. Good Luck. I'm March 4th so I feel your excitement and nervousness!

I had my food funerals, just a few of them. Glad I did Bc I feel like I got it out of my system. Mind you, those were BEFORE I started my pre-op diet.

I actually had three things I wanted to eat so I had three meals over the course of about 3 weeks.

Now that I'm on my pre-op diet I'm not eating anything other than what's approved for me. My surgery is the 18th and I don't want to do anything to mess that up.

I was not required to have a pre-op diet...I am required to do the liquid diet 24 hrs before surgery. I have been trying to put myself on one(just me) for a week now...im losing the battle at discipline! Ugh

I'm sorta glad I'm detoxed from carbs, sodas n caffein, but if I'm totally honest, if I didn't HAVE to do one I'd be eating a pizza Hut pan crust supreme pizza right now.

I have GERD and so i have been on a "restrictive diet" since March 2013..I have a laundry list of foods and beverages that i no longer consumer just because they physically make me ill. I am a boredom eater(which is bad) i will go all day w/o the urge, if i go out after work i will still control the urge to "snack"...But when i get home i am bored and needing something to do with my time. Sure my snack list has changed to fruit cups, yogurt, Jello, apples, and i will sneak occasional ice cream cone, fresh popped popcorn in..I have been doing excellent until last week almost as if i am trying to sabotage myself :(

Today i have made a complete and informed decision that i will NOT compromise what i have been working hard to achieve...i have to be the change that i want to see!!!

I also had my pre-op appointments on the 18th and started my pre-op diet yesterday. I did have a few food funerals, but can't have any more! These next 11 days are going to be torture! But I'm just going to suck it up and do it.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
