Surgery was on the 7th. Not a whole lot of pain, but I had nausea and then HORRIBLE hiccups. Finally home and just tired. I too am tolerating liquids well and am excited to keep the journey going! Glad you're recovering so smooth Belladonna.

Surgery was yesterday and not in too much pain. Way more less than I thought. Nausea has been horrible. I had to ask for zofram. Tonight the stomach spasms started but only once in a while. No regrets at all :)

I had my sleeve done Monday and came home yesterday afternoon. Tuesday was not fun. Lots of stomach spasming. Today I feel like I didn't even have surgery. Able to drink without any problems. I had two Protein Shakes today, yogurt, a little Soup and a good amount of Water. The only thing is the gurgling sound in my upper airway...throat and belly. I feel super blessed but I am amazed at how good I feel. Has anyone else felt like they were back to normal this soon post op?

Belladonna~

When I was sleeved I have some very uncomfortable feelings and gurgling in my tummy as well. I switched to a bottle for my water called a Camelbak, AMAZING difference. With this bottle it prevents air from entering while you drinking. You can use it for all cold beverages and you can get it at Dicks Sporting Good, LL Bean and so on. Cheaper if you get it online by googling Camelbak Bottle.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
