I've been eating frozen strawberries in my breakfast smoothie since I was 1.5 months out from surgery. I also eat raspberries and apples. I can eat pineapple, but because it is higher in sugar than the berries or apples I have stopped eating fresh pineapple since it triggers carb cravings.
