4 Months Post Op Pics

Recommended Posts

So I totally hate taking my monthly progress pics. I don't know why. You would think I would look forward to it. I think I just worry that I won't see any progress and sabotage myself. Anyway..... I took some tonight. I've been wearing the same clothes each time, but I had to wear a different shirt this time because the original one hung off me.

SO..... 77.4 pounds later, 55 more to go, here I am at 4 months post op.

Great job...What Did u eat or What are u eating?

Click on your name at the top of the screen, go to "my profile" and select "tickers" from the tabs on the left. You can do a weight one, a count down or up from surgery, a bmi one, etc.

Great job! Congratulations on your noticeable weight loss. I'm only 6.5 weeks out; hope I do as well as you. Good for you

Q: HOW do I get that 'Body Weight Ticker' thing on my posts? Thanks in advance to any reply.

You guys are awesome and such an encouragement!!! I just took these pics after being in a 3 week stall and was feeling pretty discouraged, so you all are a huge pick-me-up! Thankfully the scale started moving again and I entered ONERDERLAND today. Woohooo!!!!

Anyway, to answer your questions...... I use myfitnesspal.com to track EVERY SINGLE THING I eat or drink. It helps me learn what works and what doesn't. I keep it simple really. I stick to my Protein goals (65-75g per day), Water goals (at least 8 8-oz glasses), and keep my carbs 30 or under, and low sugars/fats. As far as exercise, I really am only doing cardio for the time. I'm training for a 5K in April, so that has been my focus.

You look great!

What stands out for me (and most peoples before/after pics) is the eyes.

The eyes appear bigger as the face gets smaller.

They also shine extra bright with happiness.

Good job girl! I'm two weeks from today! Super excited.

Thank you! You are right, I am much happier. It strikes me, looking back, how sad I looked in my pre op pics.

Thank you! I've noticed that too about the eyes. It's really interesting.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
