Whey Protein Powder vs. Whey Protein Isolates

I have a smoothie every morning for Breakfast, made with Protein powder, milk, greek yogurt & an assortment of berries. We purchase our Protein Powder at costco. Up until now, I have always just purchased whey Protein Powder. This past week, it was time to restock & they had Whey Protein Isolates on sale for the same price as the regular protein powder I use.

I've been told the Isolates are better. I'm just an average, ordinary person. I Googled it and still don't have a clear understanding. Can someone tell me the difference between the two & if Isolates is indeed better, why?

I really appreciate some insight.
