Help...I I'mnot losing weight..What have I done wrong?

Recommended Posts

I had the gastric sleeve done June 5, 2013. I seem to be at a stand still and can't seem to lose anymore weight. I have been at the same weight now for a couple months. I know stress can sometimes play into it but... I watch a coworker lose weight so easy but I haven't been able to. I can't hardly eat more than a few bites at a time, I graze most of the time. I have a hard time getting all the Vitamins and supplements in as well as the Water. I do use unflavored Protein powder with yogurt smoothies and Protein Bars. Can anyone help me figure out what I am doing wrong?

Need more info. How many calories, Protein, and Water are you getting in? What does grazing all day mean to you?

Use my fitness pal and track calories, carbs and liquid. Sometimes we think we are not eating very much but when we keep track it shows up different especially if you are grazing. Keep your Protein up also.

I'm in the same pickle. I know I'm spot on with the exercise. I've completed the 5k program and have started training for a half marathon. I have only lost 6 lbs in the last 6 months! I know I've toned up but that's not enough. It's in my good consumption.

I only eat 3 specific times a day and usually not more than 4 or 5 oz. sometimes in the evening I eat 1/2 carb master yogurt from Kroger. I also only eat 800 calories or less a day.

I use myfittnesspal and log every bite I put in my mouth and I walk at least 1 mile a day. Even doing all that I average only about 2 pounds a week.

I think keeping track of what you eat is the key. Grazing and sliders will get you.

I also try to get between 60 and 80g of Protein and keep my carbs under 50g.

I used unflavored powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury and mix it with Water and crystal light.

Hope that helps. Blessings. T

Oh and only drink 30 minutes after you eat. That is key. ????

My surgery was on June 7, 2013 and my weight loss has now slowed down to about a pound a week. Try getting in all your Protein and Water. Watch those carbs especially with grazing and eating Protein Bars. You might also look into the 5:2 diet. A lot of people have had success with jump starting their weight loss with this. You have done terrific with losing 79 pounds!! Hang in there!! :)

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
