losing weight means losing boobs?!

Recommended Posts

I am a pear shaped girl and I have been a C cup for the longest time. I went from 196 lbs down to 132 ish and I am now between a B and C cup. I think I am really a B cup, but I have loose skin that will lop out of the cup if I don't wear a C cup. I had an arm lift to get rid of extra skin on my arms one year ago. I am so excited because i am going to Mexico on April 30th to get a breast lift and breast augmentation. I am going to ask for a small D cup! Can't wait! Oh, I have been a size 8 shoe forever and now I am a 7-1/2.

I was at the mall with friends today and we were shopping and I decided I should get a new bra cause the one I was wearing had cup overflow (sometimes I try to cram myself into a DD) and my back hurt. So we went to lane bryant and I got a couple to try on. They didn't have one I wanted to try on in my size 44DDD so I tried on the 42DDD instead and it fit! It wasn't tight! And when I tried on the 44's in a couple of other models I noticed they were looser so I went I got 42s especially at the rate I am losing. I was really surprised. I have only lot about 15 pounds so far- and not quite that many. My jeans are loose of course but not loose enough to have me looking at the 20s in my closet. So I wasn't expecting to go down a bandsize this quickly!

How much weight before the cup size change happens?

Does your doc have a website?

The first doctor I used for my arm lift was Sergio Soberanes. He charged $3500 and you can see him at www.yourmakeovers.com. I am using a different doctor for my breast lift and augmentation. He is charging $4100 and his name is Alejandro L. Gaxiola. His website is www.mexico-direct.com. I don't feel that Dr. Soberanes did a bad job, but my arms didn't turn out quite like I had hoped. I may have had unrealistic expectations. I found Dr. Gaxiola's website and began speaking with his surgery coordinator, Luis. Luis is very nice and he will be picking me up at the airport and taking me to the clinic the day before surgery for my pre-op tests and then taking me to the hotel. The next morning he will pick me up and take me to the hospital and I will spend the night there. Then the next day he will take me back to the hotel to spend one more night. The next day he will take me back to the airport to fly home. All of this is included in the surgery price and he even made my hotel reservations! All of that played a part in my decision to use Dr. Gaxiola this time instead of Dr. Soberanes. I am not saying that I wouldn't go back to Dr. Soberanes, but I want to try Dr. Gaxiola this time. My breasts are really important to me and since I didn't get the results I expected with my arms I went with a different doctor. I am sure that both of these doctors have done a million breast surgeries! Don't get me wrong about my arms! I LOVE them compared to my old ones! I am going to ask Dr. Gaxiola's opinion on how good of a job Dr. Soberanes did on my arms, because like I said, maybe I had unrealistic expectations. I know they can only do so much! Both of these doctors are in Tijuana, Mexico. I found Dr. Soberanes on a link from Dr. Kuri's (lap band surgeon) website and I found Dr. Gaxiola by surfing the web!

Wow $4100.00 for a lift and aug is great. I am just getting implants with no lift because it is so much cheaper. I am paying $4500.00 for just that though. It was going to be $4000.00 mor if I got a lift to. I just cant come up with that kind of money.I do really need a lift though. Maybe later I guess. I would love to get my arms done to. If you have any before and after pics I would love to see them. Good luck to you on your breast augmintation. Mine is on April 5th and I cant wait.

If you go to www.yourmakeovers.com, my arm pics and my testimonial are on there. They were the last time I looked. I am wearing an orange spaghetti strap tank top in the pictures. If that doesn't work, then I would be happy to e-mail the pictures to you. About the cost of the breast surgeries, that is why I am going to Mexico! They wanted $7000 to do it here in Texas.

I'm down almost 90 pounds----I'll let you know WHEN it happens!!! Hasn't happen yet---just the band size, cup size has increased. But with all the back fat, and under arm fat lessening, I look smaller.

People have been hounding me to get a breat reduction since I first got boobs back in middle school pretty much. However I know they can go down in cup size with weight loss. It really depends how much of your boob is just fatty tissue and how much is actualy breast tissue. For some people, fat deposits in the breast area naturally and when they loose weight its all gone and they drop in cup sizes drastically. For others there is just more breast tissue that weight loss can't do anything to remove. I'm not too sure where I stand. My boobs have always been huge, but then again, so have I, hahaha. I'm a 40-42 DDD-G right now, they are always fluctuating with my weight, so I know that there is at least some fatty tissue in there. I just want to be able to lay down and not have my boobs come up and choke me. I would love to drop a couple cup sizes but will hold off on the reduction until I loose weight, then we'll see what needs to be done. Hope everyone elses boob troubles are going well!

When I lie on my back now, you could rest a cup of coffee on my chest (you'd have to balance it from rib bone to rib bone though, lol). These two sad little empty sacks disappear under my arms. Sigh.

I like em a whole lot more now though. Its ironic but now I boost them slightly because I'm cursed with very bad stretch marks from puberty and the skin is rather empty and destroyed. Its only by pushing them together that I can create a firm looking breast. So I wear swim suit shapers (which gives me a VERY nice looking pair) and buy bras with that side and underneath padding, I get a lovely rounded look which on a D is quite nice.

I absolutely HATED my E cup boobs. They didnt look sexy or shapely at all, they looked matronly, a big shelf jutting out in front. They were enormously aging.

Hi girls,

Well, I'm hoping to lost some boob!

I'm a size 16F (I think it's about 42F in US sizes), and I'm really hoping to go back down to 12D or 12DD. I'm F'ing sick of my F'ing huge boobs! Every shirt I buy makes me look like a stripper!

If I don't lose too much boob, even after I'm at goal, I'm thinking about a reduction. BUT i've seen reduction scars, and they can be horrific!

So i'm just going to wait and see....

Sadly as my weight has gone up and down down and up .. my boobs have remained the same. Only time I lost anything in the boobs was when the plastic surgeon took me from a III to a C/D and lifted them back up where they belonged.

My weight has yo-yo'd so much since then with kids and weight gain I expected them to grow .. they didn't .. so for me, I don't think loosing this weight will matter much in the end. I think they will remain the same. Will loose band size but that is really about it I think.

Actually they aren't that bad. You have to really look for mine. I had the traditional "key whole with areola placement" ... It has been almost 15 years and it is great. After two kids though, I am looking into getting a lift after I get to goal .. LOL

I am new here today... and only two weeks out from my sleeve surgery on the 23rd. I am amazed I have kept my calories down to 467 today so far... that leaves me almost 750 left for dinner and maybe a snack. This is going to be tough for two weeks... but I have to believe I can do it!

Hey everyone. I'm new here so I thought I should introduce myself. I am 53y/o and am scheduled for Gastric Bypass on June 25th, 2025. I'm located in San Antonio, Texas. I will be having my surgery in Tiajuana Mexico. I've wanted this for years, but I always had insurance where bariatric procedures were excluded. Finally I am able to afford to pay out of pocket.  I can't wait to get started, and I hope I'm prepared for the initial period of "hell". I know what I have signed up for, but I'm sure the good to come will out way the temporary period of discomfort and feelings of regret. I'd love to find people to talk to who have been through the same procedure or experience before. So I look forward to meeting you all. Hope you have a great week!

I'm so happy for you! You are about to change your life. I was so glad to get the sleeve done in Dec. I didn't have feelings of regret overall. And I'm down almost 60 lbs. I do feel a little sad at restaurants. I can barely eat half a kid's meal. I get adults meals often because kid ones don't have the same offerings at times. Then I feel obligated to eat on that until it's gone and that can be days. So the restaurant thing isn't great for me. All the rest is fine by me! I love feeling full with very little. I do wish I could drink when eating. And will sip at the end. Just a strong habit to stop. But I'm working on it! You will do fine! Just keep focused on your desire to be different. Not better or worse. But different. I am happy both ways but my low back doesn't like me that heavy. So I listened (also my feet!). LOL! Update us on your journey! I'm not far from you. I'm in Houston. Good luck and I hope it all goes smoothly! Would love to see pics of the town you go to for this. I've never been there. Neat you will be traveling for this! Enjoy the journey. Take it one day at a time. Sometimes a few hours at a time. Follow all recommendations as best you can. 💗

Thank you so much for your well wishes. I am hoping that everything goes easy for me as well. We don't eat out much as it is, so it wont be too bad in that department. Thankfully. Also, I hear you regarding your back and feet!! I'd like to add knees to the list. Killing me as we speak! I'm only 5' so the weight has to go. Too short to carry all this weight. Menopause really did a doosey on me. (😶lol) My daughter also lives in Houston. with her Husband and my 5 grand-littles. I grew up in Beaumont, so I know Houston well, I will be sure to keep in touch and update you on my journey. I may need some advice in the future, or just motivation. Thank You so much for reaching out, I was hoping to connect with someone in the community. I really appreciate it. 💜

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

I hope your surgery on Wednesday goes well. You will be able to do all sorts of new things as you find your new normal after surgery. I don't know this from experience yet, but I am seeing a lot of positive things from people who have had it done. Best of luck!

Life as a big person had limited my life to what I knew I could manage to do each day. That was eat. I hadn't anything else to look forward to. So my eating choices were the best I could dream up. I planned the cooking in managable lots in my head and filled my day with and around it.

Now I have a whole new big, bigger, biggest, best days ever. I am out there with those skinny people doing stuff i could never have dreamt of. Food is now an after thought. It doesn't consume my day. I still enjoy the good home cooked food but I eat smaller portions. I leave food on my plate when I am full. I can no longer hear my mother's voice saying eat it all up, ther are starving children in Africa who would want that!

I still cook for family feasts, I love cooking. I still do holidays but I have changed from the All inclusive drinking and eating everything everyday kind to Self catering accommodation. This gives me the choice of cooking or eating out as I choose. I rarely drink anymore as I usually travel alone now and I feel I need to keep aware of my surroundings.

I don't know at what point my life expanded, was it when I lost 100 pounds? Was it when I left my walking stick at home ? Was it when I said yes to an outing instead of finding an excuse to stay home ? i look back at my last five years and wonder how loosing weight has made such a difference. Be ready to amaze yourself.

BTW, the liquid diet sucks, one more day and you are over the worst. You can do it.
