Hi,

dont be nervous its perfectly normal, your body is in shock, your cal intake is so low that sometimes you have no energy and sometimes the body gets little bit more food so you feel better.

I went throuhg this:-)

good luck to you

I haven't been banded yet - but I've had a few surgeries, a big one and a few little ones - and I've had alot of surgeries in my family (cancer) - and it is very normal after any surgical procedure to be that way - alot of it is your body recovering and being in shock, alot of it is the afteraffects of anesthesia. For some reason I think I remember reading that it can sort of stay in your muscles or fat tissue and make it's way out of your body - so sometimes you feel tired/drowsy, sometimes not. But I saw it and felt it myself - all very normal.

I was also banded same day as you and today I went to Walmart and I felt sooo bad I came home and checked my blood pressure and it was 102/60 and I take BP medicine so maybe check your blood pressure and have a look at the medicines you take if any... you might have to have them adjusted...or it might just be everything we are going through...what is your diet like now...are you still on liquids?

Hey Bsoutherngirl yes I'm on Clear Liquids for 16 days. My follow up is the 29th. I am not on any medications except the Vitamins and Calcium other than asthma meds if needed. I didn't feel hungery until today and I'm not sure if I'm hungery or bored. I'm not use to being home like this, I work full time varied shifts, so this sitting around is killing me. It's to cold to walk outside and I can't drive til my follow-up exam. So I have a case of the couped-ups. Sorry to wine hope your fee;ing better soon.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
