Well pooh I have seen some come out and I am 4 months out. But several years ago I had a metabolic change and my hair grew thin . So if I started losing a lot now I would definitely be bald.

Hi, I haven't posted in awhile. I'm losing hair now too!! It's thinning on the sides and it seems really dry too! Driving me crazy!! How long does this last ?

I don't flat Iron my hair Amy and that could be what's happening to make some of it fall out! I use nexius Shampoo and conditioner and then an anti frizz leave in conditioner then blow dry

I noticed that I'm starting to eat more than I have been. I've got to watch it though because I don't seem to suffer from 'dumping'... I can eat pretty much anything now. I ate a cookie the other day and I admit sometimes I'll eat a couple of my kids french fries or 'try' some of their food. I've got to stop doing that.

My hair has been falling out. It seems to have slowed some. I try not to think about it because it freaks me out a little. I don't blow dry my hair or use and kind of irons on it.

I still haven't started exercising regularly. I REALLY need to get to it. I haven't weighed in over a week. I'm down 95 since Dec. 16. S of last week. I've been stalling and getting discouraged a bit.

I struggle but I think I'm doing okay.

How is everyone else doing? Anyone else struggling?

Some days I struggle and then others not so much! I think my pouch is moody! Lol I Need to figure out other things to eat besides beans... Any ideas???? I can eat sweets but only to a certain extent then it makes me sick.. Which I am kinda glad it keeps me in check. The only meat I can really eat is hamburger meat but I have to have mayo or mustard on it. Tomorrow we are having shrimp so that should be ok! I struggle to find things that I can tolerate

I am only at 77 lbs since dec 12th so you are doing fabulous. I exercise but not as much as I should and if I would do it more often my weight would come off faster.

I am now fitting into my "old" smaller clothes and even they are somewhat baggy! I am down four sizes and 77 lbs and it's moving off of my body slowly.... I have got to get a move on with my workouts meaning more than 1 it 2 times a week! Nevertheless, I have my old shorts I can wear for summer and hopefully I will be buying more soon!!!!

Good job! I just realized that I will need to get some new ones... Edelman!!

I am wondering if me not always meeting my Protein is Hendersonville my progress somewhat ?

I'm not sure what Hendersonville is. But I know that without my Protein Shakes and Protein Bars I wouldn't get the protein I need each day. And a few days of low protein intake seems to be followed by a week or so of stalling. Also, since I can now eat more normal foods, I am. That means I'm not getting my protein in. There's just not enough room for both.

I know one med I can't seem to get it all in! Water Protein etc... You need to eat but then I can't drink for an hour and half after etc etc! I have been trying to get as much protein as I can in!

I agree. The ONLY way I can is by using my phone alarms. I have them set for every three hours, 9 am, 12 pm, 3 pm, and 6 pm. But then life happens, I'm in the middle of something else and can't eat and drink and don't remember to until the next alarm goes off.

I also try to not be too hard on myself. And my surgeons group staff tell me that being in the overweight range, where I am now, instead of the obese range, where I was not many months ago, is really a huge success!

I sincerely hope this helps. I don't really know you or anyone here. But I have faith in you! ;-)

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
