Sleep Apnea Diagnosis Was The Last Straw

I'm new to this site, but wanted to share my journey. After being diagnosed with chronic sleep apnea in May of this year, I knew that I had to do something about my weight. I already had diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol and the sleep apnea diagnosis sent me over the edge. After talking to my primary care doctor and getting a referral, I made an appointment to see Dr. Amin.

Welcome to the site! You are in the right place for getting information, looking for support - all from people who can relate to you :)

That's right! Welcome! Keep posting...keep asking questions...know that you are not alone!

Welcome! Sleep apnea diagnosis was the last straw for me too. When they told me my breathing was compromised 56 times an hour I cried the whole day because I knew I did that to myself. I also had high blood pressure. I'm happy to report that after my surgery on July 29th, I am no longer on bp meds and off the cpap machine already!!
