Just received the almighty APPROVAL letter from Insurance today!!!! I read it ten times lol.

Hoping to have surgery done before end of year because insurance deductible is going up 2.5 times MORE in 2014! Plus I have paid all of the out-of-pocket for this year.

QUESTION:

How long does it take to accomplish the Pre-Surgery Tests that includes blood tests, upper GI, and gallbladder ultrasound?

Hi! Congratulations! I received my approval letter mid September. My doctor's office called to schedule surgery a few days later, November 12th. They scheduled my pre-op visit with the doctor for October 24th. My pre-op testing was scheduled a week before surgery. Good luck!!

Got my date and it is this month! 26 Dec!!!

I go for all tests on 05 Dec.

First off CONGRATS to you! You will notice if you read thru the boards everyone has different programs and schedules, timelines....I had to do a 6 months program, did all my testing and had surgery date before they would even submit my insurance. So hard to say, all those things can be done in a day but getting appts could be a different story. However most approval letters have a deadline so they try to get things moving.....your on your way, Good luck!
