21 Lbs In 10 Days

Recommended Posts

I been so sick and nauseous today. Started wondering I am 10 days post op and have gone from 214 to 193 in 10days is that normal. I thought it would be less then that since I wasn't much heavier person when I started. Goal weight is only 150. I still regret doing this I can just down a bottle Water anymore and wonder will I have to be sipping for life. My dog eats and drinks more then I do right now.

I'm 8 days post op and I have lost 16lbs... Its normal. And you will be able to take down mouthfulls of Water soon, just not one after the other. I find it difficult to find people with my weightloss and recovery time.. Everyone is saying its cause I'm an 18 year old boy my body is just bouncing back... You will be fine in the long run. (:

I've lost 21lbs in 9 days and I'm 35 yrs old and as of today I feel great....but I didn't start drinking Water & feeling 1/2 human until day 6 when I went outside and forced myself to walk and get fresh air in my lungs...your body needs oxygen to assist in the healing process and I know it's cliche but the more I walked the better I felt.

Have you made it to the doc yet? Running a temp? Dehydration will definitely make you nauseous, and it's just a downward spiral. The sicker you are, the less you drink and then you just get sicker.... Vomiting makes it even worse.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
