Awesome Jen!!! Congrats one reaching ONEderland!!!

I can't believe it. The last two weeks of weight loss was incredibly slow. After my ER visit I got lazy with both activity and Protein. But I was better this week and am feeling so much better!

That's how mine were before surgery. I was shocked when I started my period RIGHT on schedule on the 17th because it was on time and I had no crazy cramping as a warning. Good luck Hun.

Mine haven't ever been like that, but I used to get cramps as a warning it was coming too. Didn't this time. Thankfully it came when I went to go pee before bed. And pretty sure I went to bed it's over. Basically 3.5 days. I'll take it. Haha

Sorry I have been so MIA. I don't have as much time to be online now. I feel like I am always running around!

Me too! Well I was peeing before going out to meet a friend and I was wearing white pants and all. Had to change and grab tampons. I used to have 7-10 day long periods with a two day break in between. So when my period stopped at day 4 I wasn't surprised. But I was so surprised it didn't come back. It was amazing!

Yeah. I'll have to see if it is really gone this time. I have also had it where it stopped for a day or two, then I'd spot, nothing, spot, etc. But the period I had a few weeks prior to surgery (I had been off bc for a month) and this one were both short. And after stopping the Bc in January, my period came on like click work in Feb, and not again till now.. If going of bc will help me to be regular again, I'm not going back on it. Haha. I've had stuck won't l wonky periods the last few years, that I'm ready for regular ones. Hah.

I hate being a girl when it's shark week. Hahaha

I just assumed my period was more on time because of the hormone reset I have been experiencing since the sleeve. I hope when I go back on BC I will still have nice short on-time periods.

Yeah. I'm opposite. Hah. Never had "regular" periods in the pill. My favorite ones were the 55 abd 47 days periods I had, with only 30 days between them. Thankfully that was about 2 years ago. But they still weren't normal or short. Uggggg.

Omg. That's terrible. I me ER went past 3 week periods. I use the nuvaring and usually just leave it in and don't have a period. It keeps everyone much happier. I go back on BC next period. Wahoo!

Yeah. The amount of money I spent on tampons... Oh I got to a point that I would take the 3 weeks of pills as many packs as I could until my body just would finally bleed. Sometimes it'd be 3 but sometimes 4-4.5 packs. I hate periods so I'd go as long as I could. I was on depo for probably half my life too. I miss that stuff. Hahaha

I feel reeeeeeally fortunate. I started my period monday before I went to bed. I think its already pretty much done. I also had almost no cramps. However, Tuesday and yesterday it was SUPER heavy flow. Like, changing tampons every 3-4 hours. Regular or super ones. Which its never like that for me. I also feel lucky that I can take the pain meds on an empty stomach with no problems. Glad it was an easy fix though!

Ugh..:I'm still waiting for mine to come! I typically get it every 35 days...it's passed that now! Wondering if the weight loss has affected it. Now I just sit and wait, terrified, wondering when it will surprise me lol ;)

So my goal was to lose 10lbs by easter, I wanted to be 230. Originally I wanted I lose that by April 8th bc it's my 30th bday, but I've been such a SLoW loser compared to some people that it just didn't seem possible. I weighed 240 on 3/23. Had. 2 week stall, and in the 3rd week by 3/31 dropped down to 237. Typically I only weigh on Mondays so I don't get crazy. But it seemed like every day this week I lost weight! Fast forward to today- I hopped on the scale and I weighed 233! Wow!!! I just might come close to hitting 230 by Tuesday! It would make me SO happy because I have to get y drivers license picture renewed and every pound counts! Even if I don't make it to 225 til easter, I haven't weighed that since college 11 years ago! This is crazy. I stepped on the scale a few times today not because I'm obsessing but because I just couldn't believe t! Sorry for all the rambling :)

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Life as a big person had limited my life to what I knew I could manage to do each day. That was eat. I hadn't anything else to look forward to. So my eating choices were the best I could dream up. I planned the cooking in managable lots in my head and filled my day with and around it.

Now I have a whole new big, bigger, biggest, best days ever. I am out there with those skinny people doing stuff i could never have dreamt of. Food is now an after thought. It doesn't consume my day. I still enjoy the good home cooked food but I eat smaller portions. I leave food on my plate when I am full. I can no longer hear my mother's voice saying eat it all up, ther are starving children in Africa who would want that!

I still cook for family feasts, I love cooking. I still do holidays but I have changed from the All inclusive drinking and eating everything everyday kind to Self catering accommodation. This gives me the choice of cooking or eating out as I choose. I rarely drink anymore as I usually travel alone now and I feel I need to keep aware of my surroundings.

I don't know at what point my life expanded, was it when I lost 100 pounds? Was it when I left my walking stick at home ? Was it when I said yes to an outing instead of finding an excuse to stay home ? i look back at my last five years and wonder how loosing weight has made such a difference. Be ready to amaze yourself.

BTW, the liquid diet sucks, one more day and you are over the worst. You can do it.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
