Any February 2014 Sleevers?

Recommended Posts

I use the eat slower app, and set it anywhere from a minute to 2 minutes depending on what I'm eating. If it's relatively soft and I don't have to chew it too much, I do a minute. If i have to chew it a lot, I start with a minute and a half and see how it feels, and sometimes I end up putting it to minute 45 or 2 minutes. Pretty much I just see how the first couple bites go, and adjust accordingly.

I love the eat slower app.

Thanks for sharing SJ, I'm def having trouble eating slower, I will check out this app!

Screw this stall!! I just got into a pair of 22 jeans comfy and I was wearing 26/28 at surgery!!!! I can handle a little stall as long as the body is shrinking in places!

Going to try the app- thanks. I still want to eat like a truck driver- shovel it in. Then I get that stuck feeling in my throat and even nausea. I'll totally forget, then when I realize I'm full, have to sit and watch everyone else eat for a while. As far as weight loss- I dropped about 7 pounds last week while out of town. I stalled the week before. Now, I'm stalling again; think body really does have to catch up with itself. Is anyone else feeling crazy tired during the day? I hope that ends eventually. Is it the healing process or just lack of calories?

I do get very tired but is starting to be better now, I had the surgery 2/11 and just came back to work last week. Last friday I was exhausted!!

Tried the app. Love it. I have a hard just sitting to eat. I drink my Protein @ work so it works well in reminding me to take a drink. Thanks so much for sharing

Also I'm not sleeping well. Does anyone else have this problem? My tiredness is from lack of sleep but I can still feel a huge lack of energy. My surgeon said that some people can't sleep because of the energy you get after surgery but I'm still sluggish during the day. What the heck?

why is it that everything wants to come back up? I am taking Zantac but it's not helping. It kind of gives me a tummy ache. What else can I take to help this?

I guess the fatigue lasts a while. If the napping helps with the weight loss , I'm all about it!

I'm exhausted, too! Was in almost a 2 week stall between weeks 3-4 but it finally moved down 2 pounds. Clothes are also fitting much better. But I'm so tired!!! Even with getting good sleep at night. My nut said it was because of such low calorie intake, but still wants me to eat healthy. So not sure when it will get better. I just try to get naps whenever I can.

Hey y'all!!! I'm alive, I promise! My iPhone crapped out and I just got the replacement today.

I'm all moved, almost all the way unpacked and feel so different. I'm over 40 pounds down (I'll probably weigh tomorrow) and you can really tell in the way I look. And I am doing things that used to be awkward or painful, like bending to tie my shoes, bending to shave, etc. best feeling ever.

I haven't thrown up once since my first few days. I did dry heave once Bc I still get nauseous. I have to take zofran for nausea every day. I take my ppi (protonix) twice daily and my bipolar meds. That's it. No more BP meds. No more Lyrica for my back. It's crazy wonderful.

I learned I HAVE to measure 2-3 ounces out, depending what it is. Otherwise it hurts if I have any more than that. A very uncomfortable feeling.

I've also found I can drink liquids if they are on ice. Otherwise I get nauseated. Who am I kidding, I am always nauseated. Lol

I'm actually excited about going to a wedding March 29 Bc I look so fucking fabulous. Just sayin

I can get my daughter to snap a pic this coming weekend and post it. She can also show me how to make one of those split image collage pic thingies.

Yeah, at first it was rough but we knuckle down n do our best. I knew once I got past the first few weeks I'd be better so I just kept swimming :)

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well. I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening. So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this?? Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
