Any February 2014 Sleevers?

Recommended Posts

I'm seriously tired. Absolutely no energy. I can get maybe 2 ounces of shake or yogurt in. Or 3 ounces cream Soup. I'm pushing n pushing my Water but it's never enough. I'm not trying to be a whiner but I'm pretty miserable.

I hope you feel better soon. Things will get better, you're in my thoughts and prayers.

I have begun the soft food phase of the program and have a question. I do not see eggs on ether the approved food list or the not approved list. Why? My wife has about four containers of egg whites but I'm not sure if they are good or bad. Advise would be welcomed.

They are on my list for puréed stage. Scramble, Blend then reheat. But from what I can tell is every dr/NUT has different requirements. I would check with them

Softly scrambled eggs are on my puréed list.

Thanks, it's just frustrating. I know I just have to take it day by day.

I find Protein powders intolerable. I barf them up. It doesn't matter what I add it to, I get very ill. And I can barely tolerate Protein Drinks. I can handle 3 ounces of the RTD premier chocolate. The vanilla makes me barf. I just feel like if it weren't for cream of chicken Soup I'd starve. Any ideas??

I'm the same way. I can't ad Protein powders to Soups, or drink em. They tasted like chocolate milk before, but not now. Same with the carnation instant Breakfast. I tried to to suck one down last night and I just couldn't.

And the protidiets are ok, but same in the nor so delicious now category.

I'm at like 33 g of protein today. Struggling getting more than that. Same with liquids. I'm maybe getting 40-50oz. I'm trying to eat more popsicles. Hah.

I had surgery on Monday afternoon and if it wasn't for my liquid percaset I wouldn't sleep at all and I wouldn't get any liquids in either, it hurts when I lay down, hurts when I get up! So I know it'll take a lil while so I'm just gonna use the meds they gave me lol.

My insurance wouldn't cover the pain meds in liquid form. Nice, huh? Lol

I was just getting concerned Bc I'm getting like 150-200 calories a day.

As for sleeping, I'm a side sleeper and that deep incision burns sometimes and pulls so it wakes me up.

I don't have a problem sleeping, especially with the liquid lortab. I also have set up my bed on the couch. I have a sectional, so I've set up shop in the corner so I can prop myself up a little bit, and it's been great. I'm still too nervous to lay flat in bed. Mostly cause I'm a side sleeper and don't want to hurt myself.

Who can sleep when my life is changing in less than 12 hours. WOW!

I didn't sleep at all the night before surgery!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
