I wouldn't say you were screwed, but slim fast? Have a quality protein drink if you must.

Clear liquids are the hardest phase ever. I was on protein shakes, sf pudding and cream of soups at five days. I am two weeks tomorrow and getting to have some puréed. Woot!

Agree with above poster. Slim fast is not a great choice because it is not that high in protein and high in sugar and carbs.

But I think the OP was more concerned with the diet progression. Every doctor seems to have a different program for post op diet. anything from clear liquids for the first day or two, to purees after 3 days. it runs the gamut! important to do what your doctor suggests to have the best results. but between you and me, full liquids are probably not going to hurt you at this point.

Agree with the above, you need to stick with your doctor's plan and I would be surprised if that included anything SlimFast...

Also you should choose a quality protein whey isolate - Premier Protein, Unjury, Nectar, etc. They are light on carbs which is important, but more importantly, the contain quality protein which is vital at this stage.

Be kind to your new tiny tummy!
