Thanks I will try that! It has been lessening for sure! I still can't sleep in bed yet :( I'm a side sleeper and I get cramps in my shoulders when I try to. Slow but steady I guess!!

Madds Glad to hear you are feeling better! Remember that because you have a smaller amount of weight to lose, it will come off slower. You're losing. That is the most important!!

Che- what Protein powders are you using/have you tried?? I find that some are horrible and others are pretty great. You can get creative with them too and use SF syrups!!

Thanks! I'm also super excited now because I tried out the whole laying down in bed thing. I shoved a blanket under my stomach so it wouldn't fall towards the bed (I know that sounds gross) - I figured because my incisions and it was pulling and giving me shoulder pain. It worked LIKE A CHARM! I'm super duper excited to sleep on my side tonight. The little things!

You are too funny !!!!!! My first night sleeping back in my bed was wonderful. I used 2 long pillows for comfort and 1 small one in between my legs, trust and believe I didn't move not once and when I woke up I was very well rested. All I know is everyday gets better and better. Hope you have a great nites sleep.

I'm so thankful for this forum. I'm 3 days post op and wondering if this was worth it. Unfortunately my pain management was never really under control due to the fact everything that was prescribed was an IM injection and the first time the nurse gave it to me, She got me in the knee! Already being in enough pain I refused the morphine all together. Now that I'm finally on oral pain medication, I think it's getting better, but I'm having a rough start!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
