Kay so many many times I have asked mother if I am doing the right thing and if she has any thoughts or concerns. Always no. So at family dinner my neighbors are over. I am downstairs to avoid the pig out that ensues every week. Well my aunt comes downstairs and and starts talking about how my mother went to my neighbor (who is a pharmacist and a bit of a inconsiderate person in the way he says things) and started asking him about diet pills to try to derail me from making a huge mistake. She whips out a bag of ACE and says.. Here. I get that she was trying to be nice so I appreciate my aunt... But to know that she is going behind my back... Discussing something so personal with someone who has no idea what it is like... Makes me so mad and hurst me so deeply. Especially since I have given her every opportunity to speak up, and she is heavier than I am. Is this wrong of me? I just feel like our trust is broken. Is this wrong?

Just try to focus on the why-she's your mom she loves you and is concerned about your safety-she probably doesn't know how to have the discussion with you about the surgery even when you bring it up
