I'm in Idaho too will have surgery next month!

Are you starting to get nervous? Im finding that im getting really nervous about complications the closer I get

I live in Lewiston Idaho. Got sleeved in post falls at end of july. I have lost 65lbs!!!

I am trying not to spend much time thinking about it! Keeping busy and praying for a very smooth recovery.

I'm in Boise. I'm just now exploring wls and am getting more serious by the day!

Gottalose...what have you done so far? I would recommend one of st. Lukes bariatric seminars. They do them at the st lukes down town and in meridian. I learned a lot, you get to hear about the surgery from the surgeons who perform them. Also you fill out your information right there at the seminar and the next day they are verifying your benefits and starting you on the process of insurance and preop appointments. Good luck!

I think that is what I'm going to do. I want to attend and learn more. I'm at about 75% decision wise.

I am from Meridian and currently in Japan working. I will be having the sleeve done in Korea on 3 Feb. I will be back in Idaho in June & plan to following up with a bariatric doctor, I just don't know who yet. It's great to see Idaho on here :)

Just did my seminar and met with surgeon this week. I have to do 6 months weight monitoring at my Dr's before my sleeve. Considering St. Lukes, but not positive. I may interview more surgeons as this is a life time investment and change.

Pianoguy, I would really recommend St Lukes..I am a week away from surgery and the support system and entire program have been a great asset. I attended a preop class which let me know what to expect- ive attended support groups-ive met with a very helpful nutritionist who as part of my surgery cost I get to see 3 more times after surgery. The insurance specialist for the bariatric surgeons really goes above and beyond to help you through that process. Its also considered a center of excellence which some insurance companies require. Good luck!
