How much weight have you lost

Recommended Posts

I was curious about how much weight people have lost 3 months post op from their SURGERY weight.... I've only lost 48lbs since surgery, but 69 lbs all together. I feel like I'm not losing like I should.

That's 45lbs in your first month?! That's basically where I'm at now and I'm a little over 3 months out! That's crazy I think I'm not getting my Protein like I should, I'm gonna try powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury and see what happens

Everyone loses differently. Since have more stalls than others. At six months I was down 110 pounds. I know some who had lost more and some who have lost a lot less.

I'm 9mo post op, but when I was @ 3mo I had lost 62lbs. My weight @surgery was 396lb. I think the heavier you are the faster it comes off in the beginning . I've lost a total of 120 now & it feels great but & there's all ways a but, now I'm not loosing & I'm fighting to maintain my weight. So I joined a gym & am going for the first time tomorrow. The advise I can give is look at what your eating & maybe changeit up your body will get used to the same foods. I'm taking my own advise Don't get discouraged our bodies have been through a huge trauma & it will take awhile to adjust. Talk to your Dr or the nurse for some extra advise. Sorry for the long post I'm a chatterbox & extremely passionate on this subject. Peace

10 weeks and 60lbs. But I had an endoscopy today because I'm still not tolerating solids and they found that the hole leading out of my pouch was smaller than a pea. So I've been starving. :(

I had serious complications afterwards and still not getting in the proper Protein or food and Water due to nausea. I know this is why I'm losing so much.

I had 2 ah-ha moments this week! I've been on a 2 week stint without losing any weight. I drink my Water but apparently I was not getting enough. Had a night where I got real thirsty and drank a lot of Water. Ah-ha moment #1. (Things began to move!) Hallelujah!!! Ah-ha moment #2 happened today when I hit the gym for the first time since I came home. I walked on a treadmill for 1 hour. That's it! Talk about a movement!!! Between the water & the walk, my stall is now in high gear. So follow the 2 "W's" to keep things "moving"!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
