I also did the first day of the C25K app yesterday and I lived to tell about it!

Congrats. That's awesome. Keep going. You won't regret it.

4.4 run and 2 mile walk this morning. My first 10K race is next Saturday and I think I'm ready for it. Hoping to run it in less than 1:15:00.

Run: 12.4 (Goal 40)

Walk: 32.5 (Goal 50)

Bike: 6 (Goal 30)

Total: 50.9

Good luck on that 10K. Let us know how it goes.

Okay, THAT was *fun* trying to find this thread. Sheesh!

I'm up to 69 miles for the month, but more importantly, I FINALLY was able to try the 1.5 hour spin class. It's offered every Sat. am but only ONE Sat. a month it's taught by my favorite instructor. So finally made it and did much better than I thought I would. It was a different kind of intensity than the 1 hour long class, but still fairly brutal. The one thing that I didn't like was that I was really tired the rest of the day. It was from 7-8:30am and I really just wanted to come home and nap. lol. But that didn't happen, of course, and so I kept thinking...I thought exercise was supossed to GIVE you energy, not take it away! HA!

Give you energy? Yeah....it's like one of those Ponzi schemes.....you get you're later.

Got my 26.2 miles in this morning at the Malibu Marathon. Great venue for a run. With the 40 miles in on my taper, that leaves me 32 miles from my 200 mile goal. I'm going to knock it out next week and take the rest of the year off to recover.

3.40 miles walked today. Helped my in-laws move some furniture they purchased at an estate sale today also. That was a good workout. I didn't realize how much muscle I have lost since my surgery. Time to start more weight training. Feeling good though. Total for the month so far is at 44.40 miles.

Okay I did it! I did week 1 day 1 of c25k this evening and still managed a total of 3.17 miles for a total of 34.07 miles for the month. I was really impressed with how well I did with the c25k. Better shape than I thought. Now to see how my knees feel in the morning and see how day 2 goes.

I did 3 miles this morning. I waked/ jogged alternating every 5 minutes. Cooling down with almost 5 minutes of walking. Then a nice good stretch. So for now I am at 37.07 miles. Tomorrow will be a rest day as ordered from my jogging trainer (oldest son) He used to run in half marathons so he has decided to give me training advice for a 5k...

Step away for a couple of weeks and I'm all sorts of behind the times!

I'm only down 2 lbs. in weight over the last two weeks, but clothes are a bit looser since I've upped my weight-lifting amounts by 10 lbs across the board since the beginning of the month.

Bike: total of 50 miles so far.

Run: I'm still doing intervals, but up to 3 mins of running/1 minute brisk walk. I've only made it up to 1.5 miles, but I don't want to hurt my knee or hips any more than absolutely necessary. I've only been running on the treadmill at the gym, after weight-lifting and lord is it boring.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
