Too funny! The noises that come out of my throat and tummy are definetly annoying at times.. Especially when I am in a quiet meeting hahaha! Still prefer all the little annoyances over that 100 lb sack of blubber I was carrying around :)

Every time I eat I get those burps in my throat it's so annoying to say the least :(

How far along are you? I'm 5 weeks and that use to happen to me too. But I kept going. I don't remember when maybe last week but throat problem is gone still burping but I notice when I slow down less burping! The sounds aren't to loud so IDK LOL.

I just took two bites of lunch (ricotta bake, no mozzarella, pureed lean hamburger), and got what I think you guys call the "slimes."

Is that what you call it when you feel like you have an elephant in your esophagus, your mouth fills with saliva, you feel like you're gonna hurl, and you have to spit about five times?

Benjiboi, that sounds AWFUL!! Haven't had them.

Danielle, it goes away, try to eat slower. That seems to help me.

foam and slime? I've never heard of this until I joined this forum. How to avoid? 5 1/2 weeks out and haven't seen anything like that.

Take small bites, chew it good and eat slowly. Don't overeat. You'll know it when (if) it happens!

I just started eating today!!! Did good till dinner.

Ate too much, too fast, of both. I'm spitting slimy foamy mucous and food.

I'm not happy right now!!!

OK, I'm no longer a virgin; I just vomited after I too quickly swallowed three baby spoon bites of pumpkin/squash souffle, and then took one sip of Lifewater to "wash it down."

There's no more "washing that bump of food down" happening, is there?

Had the same problem but it has gotten better. I slowed down my eating and it seems to be subside. Still get it from time to time when I eat fast or too much. Just learn to listen to your body, slow down and stop eating when you start feeling that gurgle in your throat. Worked for me.

Foamies/Slimies - same thing as far as I'm concerned. Happens pretty quickly after I eat too fast or too much. It happened last week after one bite - I said one bite of buffalo wing that was dipped in ranch dressing. As soon as I swallowed it, the foamies came. I was at the bowling alley too and was scared to death I wouldnt make it to the bathroom but I did, through up slimy spit, then went back to bowl.

I stopped eating while bowling in my league. I stopped eating at work also because of getting the foamies. I use that time at work to get my 64 ounces of Water in and drinking my Isopure (grape flavored) Protein drink (40 g protein!). I'll snack on Peanut Butter, pieces of cheese, boiled eggs but thats about it at work. For a real meal, I eat at home - just in case!!!!!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
