Same thing here! My husband thinks I'm crazy lol

I noticed preop during my diet. People would eat even crackers and I could smell them. Food scents would linger and I would have to move away. It was super annoying my last few days of work. Thankfully, I will be on soft foods before I go back to work.

Omg that is me The smells all make me nauseous

I think that some foods I loved taste different too

I like the lack of hunger but I feel no pleasure or satisfaction eating and wondered if anyone else feels that way too

I was sleeved on

8/30 preop weight 217 today 180

I haven't eaten yet so I don't know. I have no appetite and at first I didn't care if people are around me, but now it's annoying! I didn't realize how much food is at the forefront of our lives! If it's not a commercial, it's one of my family talking about what they cooked, are going to cook, or what they "have a taste for". I know they don't mean to be insensitive, but that doesn't make it any less annoying. I opened some Soup yesterday and the smell of it was so overwhelming I had to get it out of the house! My nose is working overtime.

I am 10 months out and STILL My Nose is in tune with every smell.....I always think things Stink, when no one else notices.....

it was so intense right after surgery but it faded after a month or two. I am back to not smelling anything. interesting, before surgery and for a while afterwards i loved greek yogurt. now i cannot eat it. odd
