Hate watching my children eat things I cant eat! It's so tempting, and they try to not eat in front of me but I can still smell it! I'll stay strong, this can't beat me!!

I've been cooking for my family almost every day since returning from the hospital 8 days ago. I even sit at the table with them while they eat. I drink Water or Protein and we chat. I have to say that while it's not easy, they feel like our family dynamic is the same.

Eventually I'll be able eat some of what they're eating. For now I think of it as a small sacrifice for a healthier me.

Hang in there. It will get better.

I'm just curious how has your hunger level been since surgery. I think about that now and wonder how I am going to make it through not eating real food for a while. :(

After my surgery I wasn't hungry at all, it wasn't till like 2 months after when I started eating food! I did small amounts cus that's all my stomach fit but little by little I started feeling hungry. I would serve my self small amounts but I would pinch here and there! That's why I'm scared I stretched my stomach pouch! Right now I'm working on exercising and eating better!

When I had the surgery everything was great! I wasn't hungry at all! At about 2 months after my surgery I started to eat food little by little, I wouldn't even eat much, u do get full very fast! But with time I wouldn't notice but i would pinch here and there and I was eating more then I should! It wasn't till I noticed that I wasn't losing weight, I wasn't gaining but I wasn't losing, Ur body gets use to eating so fast, u really need to be strict with urself! Thats what I'm doing now, its very very hard but I just don't want to go back to how i was!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
