Going to be Banded on 3/28 and getting scared

Hi all, I'm so glad I found this site! I am going over Italy and Dr. Franco Favretti is going to be my surgone - has anyone seen him? I've been looking through the site and it looks like I can expect some port site soreness and shoulder pain due to gas?? For those of you who have had to get on a plane 4-5 days after surgery, how bad was the travel home??? I am very excited but as the date draws so much closer I'm starting to get butterflies. Also, does anyone know of a US doc who does fills in Northern California?
