I'm on a 2 week liquid diet. 64 oz/day <15 calories. I walk about 45 min/day. Other than that I haven't really been doing much. I have an office job' date=' so I'm not very active there.[/quote']

Hmm, I haven't been walking a whole lot bc I still hurt but maybe I'll try that and then that will improve the loss. I'm doing the same thing but in trying to get 48oz in, 16oz is my Protein shakes in the day

I'm down 12 lbs since surgery but mine was the 17th. Its so exciting to get on the scale every morning and see that number going down even if it only half a pound or so. Before the sleeve I would fight that half pound to come off and now it melts off like butter!!!! I don't do much either walk around the house a couple times a day. Monday and Wednesday I did walk around campus but not an excessive amount. One thing I am having a hard time with is not being able to eat. Not even because I'm hungry but because I have literally ZERO energy. Like Walking around campus Wednesday, by time I got home I was absolutely DRAINED and even throughout the day I could NOT WAIT to sit down!!! I feel like my body is using every once of energy in my body right now. I had a two week pre op liquid diet and I'm looking at another 4 weeks before any for of real food(puréed diet) I know I can make it and I KNOW in the long run this will be the best decision I have ever made! But it's tough right now!! Any one else having trouble with energy??

I was sleeved Wednesday and had hunger pains within hours of surgery. For the first two days' date=' it was almost constant. Even after I ate/drank, when I should have been full. So it made it hard to realize when I was actually full. But the hunger pains are lessening and now replaced by digestive pains. lol Have found my favorite meal is a flavored Greek yogurt with a scoop of unjury, a splash of milk and an ice cube in the blender. Alternately, a vanilla greek yogurt with Unjury, a squirt of Mio and ice is good too. :)[/quote']

My nurse and surgeon said that was everything starting back up again post op. I had the sake sensation, but they said its common, and will go away once everything inside is working normal again.

9 days since surgery went for follow up appointment yesterday. I lost only 6 lbs which i can't believe it's not more. I am only drinking 2 Protein Shakes a day under 4oo calories and chicken broth or Tomato Soup I switch up Soups on different days. I was itchy like crazy so too Benadryl and used topical anti itch cream it's finally starting to go away. All I have been dreaming about now is eating canned chicken or sashimi. am dying for real food. I can hold out though only 6 days til puree. I just hope the weight keeps coming off.

I'm a 15ther. I weighed 253 the day of surgery, and weighed 241 this morning, so 12 lbs down.

I'm walking three times a day for about 30 min at about 2 mph. That's it. Staying well below 800 cal with the exercise figured in, hitting my Protein mark, and only getting about 50 oz of liquids ... but no dehydration symptoms. I'm working on it.

I am TOTALLY getting some of those bad boys today! That's my own real discomfort since getting sleeved Wednesday. And I've found when I make shakes in the blender' date=' the added air makes for gassy discomfort, until I muster up a good burp. lol New topic...how long until anyone has had a pooh after getting sleeved? I haven't had one since Wednesday morning. Normal? Has anyone used a laxative to get it going? Is that acceptable? I've even tried Decaf coffee, hoping that could trigger it. But nope. <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' />[/quote']

I went a week w/o a BM. Then tried Miralax w/I any luck... Eventually did a ducolax suppository which worked instantly.

I feel the same way- then last night, as if out of nowhere my energy skyrocketed and I suddenly feel much better! Don't get me wrong, I'm still not doing much (like you, only small walks), and I still require an afternoon nap, but overall It's much better suddenly :)

I agree with aunnyq. I had itching really bad too. A friend of mine is a surgical nurse she had me use Vitamin E cream. I just rubbed it all over my tummy. When the adhesive was removed I had hives all around the incisions that were maddening. Dr. let me take benedryl. I took it at night it makes you really sleepy. Good Luck!

Hope you don't mind since my surgery was on the 16th...but I was 228 the morning of surgery (lost 10 lbs during the 4 days of preop liquids), and GAINED 10 lbs of Water during the one day I was in the hospital from the IVs they pumped into me. lol It took me like 4 days to lose all that Water. I'm now down to 222 as of this morning. So 9 days post op, I've technically only lost 6 lbs because I had to re-lose that 10 lbs of water as well. But it's progress and I'm okay with that. :) Once I lost the water, it started coming off at about .75-1 lb a day. Everyone's different. it's not a race...it just about making the finish line and feeling good about the journey, right? :)

I am on my 7th day post op and have been recovering so well. I am supposed to be on a full liquid diet until Sunday morning but I am dying for puréed foods. This creamy Soup stuff was great for a day or two but now I just want chicken and tuna and things like that.

I too am 7 days post op and have had no pain or anything since the day after surgery... On liquids alss and am wondering am I missing something...? Did I really have this surgery? Also am hungry... Down 12 lbs since surgery day....

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
