Recommended Posts

This is a great clone recipe, really good. If you want to cut out most of the fat substitute ground turkey for the ground beef. If you want to make it vegetarian exchange the meat for boca burger meat.< /p>

Wendy's Chili

2 lbs ground beef

1-29 oz can Tomato sauce

1-29 oz can kidney Beans (with liquid)

1-29 oz can pinto Beans (with liquid)

1 C diced onion (1 medium onion)

1/2 C diced green chili (2 chilis)

1/4 c diced celery (1 stalk)

3 medium tomatoes, chopped

2 tsp cumin powder

3 Tbls chili power

1.5 tsp black pepper

2 tsp salt

2 C Water

Brown ground beef in skillet over medium heat, drain off fat.

Using a fork crumble the cooked beef into pea size pieces.

In a large pot combine the beef plus all the remaining ingredients and bring to a simmer over low heat. Cook, stirring every 15 minutes for 2-3 hours.

Makes 12 servings.

Leftovers may be frozen for several months.

Interesting... wonder why it was okay the first time and then made you sick the second time?? I love chili. We make it with ground turkey, diced and/or crushed tomatoes, no green chilis but usually 2 cans of red kidney Beans, onion & green pepper, chili powder and curry powder.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
