Finally logging food via Myfitnesspal, very suprised

So I've been stuck at the same weight for 3 wks and YES it's frustrating. I'm totally aware it happens and why. I've always kept a running log in my head of my daily intake and thought I was doing a great job on protein, carbs, etc. But still the weight hasn't budged so I decided to use Myfitnesspal since it seems to help so many forum members here.

So to my surprise, the people I've friended from here that share their diaries; the caloric intake and amount of food is SO SO SO small! It seems like they are barely eating, I can't see how they are achieving 80 grams of protein on such little food. Even if I only had 3 protein shakes a day and my vitamins, I'd be at 750 calories. How are ppl eating under 600 calories and getting the required amount of protein? I don't get it.

  • oh also, some of them were told to hit 60 gms of protein so they may be hitting that and you may be trying to get more.

Aha! Thanks gamergirl, that makes me feel a little bit better! I'll look harder at the info.

hmm...i am probably not one of those that looks like I'm getting too few calories, but I do get in all my Protein. That's really my main focus for the most part. I remember thinking what you do. I would see some people's diaries on my phone and I wonder how they got the protein in. But then I look at the same people's diaries on the computer where you can see all the macronutrients, and I realize that many of them are getting in significant chunks of protein.

One of my friends there puts in espresso coffee (you know who you are puresouthernsoul!) and it looks like nothing right? Cofffee?? But that's her recipe for something that has greek yogurt, coffee, and a scoop of Protein powder, so the label is a bit misleading.

Wonder if some of that is happening with you? Do look at the diaries on the computer and you can see how the protein gms add up.

Yeah. My daily goal is 60g of protein and I stay around 600-750 calories a day.
