December Bandsters in March!

Recommended Posts

I can't decide if I should do exercise again (started with a goal of 15 workouts, changed it to 20, actually did 21!) or if I should do weight loss... hmmmm....

Ok Steph, I'll hold you to it if you do the same for me! I figure if I do a weight loss goal, by default I need to exercise, so it's two-in-one! :)

(and 199 is SOOOO cool! I'm totally jealous!)

;)

Happy March!

My goal this month is to be able to run 1/2 hour straight by April 1st. I am up to 15 minutes as of today and I am psyched. I feel wonderful. I cannot believe I have progressed to that point. I always do about 45 minutes of elliptical, but to run is truly a major accomplishment for me. I used to jog sporadically in college but that was many moons ago.

Good luck girls with all of your goals. We can do it.

hey guy's i've been gone for a while. lots going on here. hubby went TDY for a while so i was super busy being single mom. Also, i've haven't lost as much as the rest of you, so i'm feeling a bit down with that.

I would love to lose about 20lbs for march. i have been doing good on working out, i do pilates and a cardio video, i alternate days with the two. i'm in a comfy 18, 20's are long gone and i hope 18's are on their way out too!

Banannie - ok I'll hold you too it too! Don't be too jealous of 199, its still alot of weight for 5'3", I still have a bmi of 35. But I'm happy about it.

Jacqui - 15 lbs is possible. You are very close to onderland now - it won't be long!

Kaydoll - you go girl!!! I couldn't run 5 minutes let alone 15 to 30! I'm sure you'll do it. About 10 years ago I had gotten to about 160 and I started running. I loved it, I'd go back behind the house where I ski, its so nice to do on a beautiful morning. Are you doing that on a treadmill? Because if you go outside and run it'll be alot easier. I'm so proud of you!

Maurden - cut the crap! LOL couldn't help myself - sorry bad jk. I think thats a do-able goal. I like a glass of wine now and then but its beer I'm missing. I'm not a "drinker" by any means but I like dark beer. Crap food is hard to give up... BUT with a proper fill you can eat alot less of it. We went to a wrestling tourney last night and bought our supper there. Mine was chicken planks and fries - I ate ONE and felt like I couldn't eat another bite - in fact I had to sit there a minute and think is this going down? It did but at least I didn't it 4 of them.

((((SWEETHOT)))) - we've missed you sweetie! It looks like you're doing great! A whole size down is great! Have you had anymore fills? 20 lbs is alot to lose in one month - I'm sure its do-able but thats a high goal - I'd like to lose 20 lbs too but know I'll be more likely to make my 10lbs. Its good to see you on again. We've all wondered if you were ok.

We are going to be busy all day again today so I hope I can make good food choices. Have a great day ladies!

SWEETHOT!!! We were worried about you! So glad you checked in!

Hope life is slowing down a bit for you - stress certainly doesn't help with weight loss! I agree with Steph - 20lbs may be a bit too much for a month, I'd hate to have you get discouraged as soon as you got back - 10 lbs in a month is doable and a good challenge - or maybe consider doing 20lbs by Easter or something?

Steph - I just love the sound of Onederland...

Well, I'm heading out of town for the weekend so I'll catch up with you ladies either late Sunday or Monday!

My goals are to reach "50 pounds lost" (9 more pounds); to exercise atleast 3 times a week, and to cut out food after 7 pm. I often work late so I don't end up eating until 8:30-9:00. Then I go straight to bed... not good!

Sweethot...I am glad you checked in, I have been wondering how you are.

Good luck on your goals everyone!

Hello...December Bandsters in March...

I suppose my goal is going to be to lose 10 pounds for the month, walk at least 3 times a week, and DRINK MORE WATER!!! (in case you don't understand, Water is my worst "non-habit"!!!)

I go for my 2nd fill in a week and I hope I will be able to tell a big change as a result...

Hi Girls,

Just checking in to say that I went to the gym today, got on the treadmill and jogged for 20 MINUTES!!!! I am amazed at myself. My legs and hips are so sore but it feels good. I am definitely going to get to 30 minutes this month. I walk the rest of it until I reach 5K. I think it took me 45 minutes total today, but I hope to someday soon be able to run the whole thing.

Sweethot-I am so glad to hear from you!!! Hope all is well~

Howdy Gang,

I think my goal for March will be to exercise 3 to 5 times each week and try to get down below 200. I am at 208 and holding so I have lost 40 pounds since July. I feel like my last fill is still really tight...maybe too tight. I can hardly eat much at all. No salads which I really miss. I can get cooked veggies to go down but nothing raw. Also, beef is difficult unless it is ground beef and in really small bites. I will travel to the dr. next week during Spring Break and see him as well as the dietitian and see what to do next. The good news is I am still dropping the weight! :clap2: I just don't want to give up salads completely.:help:

Also, Constipation is an issue since I am not eating much. I have started drinking prune juice in the evening. That has helped some. Anyone else have this problem?

Hey all, I've been gone for a bit ana am so glad to have returned for the motivation that I am lacking. I have been trying to be goo, but had a bad bad, bad weekend, and I am tring to get on track. I would like to state for the record that my goals for March are simple. I would like to excercise consistently 3-4 times a week, drink more Water and stop eating after 7pm. I think that these are reasonable achievable goals, and we will see what they yield at the end. Have been following Biggest Looser caloric charts Calories in vs calries out, and keep track with Mycaloriecounter.com. I wish everyone luck achieving their goals.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
