I had mine removed last year. There are so many who have to have it removed shortly after being sleeved. Definitely good to have it removed at the same time rather than after.

Hello All! I have my surgery set for Dec 3! I have completed everything , except preops, to be done before Tgiving. Ive been heavy all my life, I will turn 50 next Feb and I want to get healthy! I have lost and gained 100lbs 3 times in my life, and I need this to be the last time.I am ready to change my life and get healthy. Im 5 foot 5 1/2 , 230lbs. I want to be 150. That has been the best weight for me, but Im willing to go further down! :) . My family is so supportive and my deductible is paid for the year and my surger will be a grand total of 254 dollars. I am contemplating what Protein supplements to purchase, Ninja or nutrabullet.

I'm scheduled for 12/16 with all of my pre-op stuff getting done on 11/25. Right now is hoping I get the money scraped up. I thought it would be all taken care of by now but a few emergencies have popped up. I really hope I don't have to reschedule! *sigh*. Self pay sucks

Hi :)

I'm new to this group and my surgery is scheduled for December 5th! I started my journey in May 2013 by asking my PCP for a referral to Kaiser's (Southern CA) Options program. I completed the Options classes (3 months) on 9/26, met with the surgeon on 10/15 and now have my surgery date.

I'm excited that there are so many of us already scheduled for December...it does seem too far away.

Is anyone taking Vitamins and supplements now? I began taking a Multivitamin and Biotin a month ago.

I started taking a multivitamin in June and Vitamin D (50000IU) prescription weekly in August when my labs came back.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
