My plan doesn't want us eating more than 3 meals and a snack a day. Just work on your fluids and Protein.< /p>

I also only eat 3 meals a day plus 2 Snacks. I'm so busy at work I usually don't snack and I have to really concentrate on drinking. Do what feels natural to you. I'm almost 10 months since surgery and I still haven't regained an appetite or get hungry, but I count that as a blessing!

try to eat a meal , drink 16 ounces of Water, then meal, drink 16 ounces of liquid , meal , drink , snack , drink. I do this and helps me to not over eat and get all my liquid in .Good luck

From once a day eating to feeling like I'm eating/drinking all the time. But my pre op program said, from the time I get up to the time I go to bed I'd be consuming, get used to it. I guess I didn't think she meant literally.

Definitely a blessing. I get very hungry but, at least, I fill up with a lot less than before surgery. I've been eating about 5 times a day & I think I'll try dividing that into 6 or 7 times a day.

I am not hungry or get hungry most of the month but there is a few days that pass by were I feel like I want to eat the world! It seems to be every month it happens for 2-4 days. I think it has something to do with hormones in the body. I had this before my surgery and would eat a whole lot of stuff when it happened! thank god for my sleeve.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
