Goodbye to the 80s

Farewell to the 70s, the 60, the 50 and even the 40's. 30's you hung in there, but good bye to you too and 20s, it has been a slice, but I fear I must bid you farwell this week.

My new friends are the teens, today 218 to be exact. I don't know how long we will be friends but I am prepared to dump you too as I head toward the ones.......my good single digit friends await.

:(

Well I'll tell ya those single digit friends you want to make??? Be careful of them---I got there, and seem to like them so well I just keep hanging around!!! But you are right, they are much easier to get along with than the 80's & all those other groups!!!

Keep up the good work!!!

Kat

Say hello to the one's (100s) when you meet them. They will be with you the rest of your life! Love this thought!

So what you are saying is that the single digit friends are kind of clingy and dependent?

I am prepared for that. I can always join my newest friends at the gym, who will help me get over them? I just can't continue to be an enabler.

But OHHHHHHHHH, I see you are about to embark on a new healthy lifelong friendship with the 100's......oooooooooooooooooooo, I wanna meet them.................

Yes, those singles are VERY clingy. They seem to know how much you want to leave them for the 90's (190's :(), and they just don't want to let you go!

Congrats!

I have'nt ask for help in a long time but I am still around. Being playing with the 60's ( 160's ) way to long.Would somebody give them a good swift kick in the butt and get them out of my way. Oh excuse me. I think it's me that has to do that. Well done to you all.:(

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
