Back Pain, Shoulder Blade Knot, Lower Back, 6 months post op

I had my surgery about 10 months ago. I have been having a knot pain in my upper left shoulder blade for about 4 months off and on. More frequent then not. This past week it has been a lot more severe and painful. I have also had lower back pain a few times. It even put me down on the ground once. The last 24 hours I had the shoulder knot pain, middle back pain and lower. It is very uncomfortable.

I never even thought it could be my lapband until recently. Could it? Has anyone else had this issue? I have been in more pain the last two days.

Yes, I know. Got to doctor. I am planning on it. I moved from California to NE Houston about a month ago, so I need to find a lapband doctor that will accept me and possible unfill me for awhile. Can anyone recommend doctors in the Houston area? Please....

I spoke to my doctor office tonight and they put me on 5-day liquid diet. They said if the pain goes away then I definately need to see them... I need to find a local doctor.

Please share your story if you have had similar experience.

Do you still have your gallbladder? it sounds like gallbladder pain to me.. fairly common with weight loss..I still get shoulder pain if I eat too fast or drink too early after eating... I had my surgery in January so it's been 9 mos for me...

I have been having shoulder blade pain since I was banded in September. Went for a massage, worked it out, and I was back to pain within days. Never thought it could be band related, but maybe? Interesting.

HI

I've heard people talk about gall bladder issues creating pains like you describe. But I have no personal experience to speak of. I hope someone can figure out why you are having this pain! Houston is a large area with lots of very good doctors, so you've got a good chance of getting some good care there.

(Im in California!)

Good luck!
