I have been smooth sailing with me fills lap band all that jazz. I got a fill on Friday Nightmare couldn't eat or drink the whole weekend. Throwing up I ate peppermints & juice this weekend. On Friday I weighted in at 216 went back on Monday I weighted in at 206 good but not healthy. I got unfilled not even 1 cc I asked for one 1cc my doctor say no it will be ok when he take this little out. He couldn't have been more wrong I need more out Im still not able to eat a meal not even a small one. I hate to call them again but can't hold anything down this will be my third time there in 7 day but I don't want to keep throwing up. Maybe Ill wait a couple of day to see if it gets better Please weight in no pun intended.

call them.. it's your body and your health... if you cannot eat it's unhealthy to continue.. You deserve to get the follow up care and I am sure either you or your insurer paid for it...

If it is not right, of course you should call them and get this situation corrected. Take a deep breath, stop thinking about being a bother BECAUSE YOU ARE IMPORTANT.

Now. Go pick up the phone! You will feel better soon! Listen to your doc regarding your diet after the adjustment. Good luck sweetie!

The first time I waited 5 days way to long and had lost 17 lbs I was so dehydrated and the second I went back after the two liquid days on day 3 because I couldn't even tolerate the liquids.

If you're vomiting you need to give your stomach a rest. My drs rules have always been 3 days of pure liquids after a fill, 3 days of mushy foods and then back to solids. And anytime vomiting occurs 3 days of liquids. The issue is that vomiting irritates your pouch and inflames tissue-makes you swell. So then everything will be tighter.

My band has always been tighter in the morning- which means no solids before noon for me. It's how my body is.

Vomiting can lead to a slip- I had a minor slip at one point after I had the flu (probably the only time I've really vomited with the band- that wasn't a PB)

And at 2 days after a fill I'd still be on liquids, not small meals.

THe company that banded me (now) only gives 0.5 cc's fills. If you need an defill, they typically take out 0.25 cc's at a time. You should feel an immediate difference. If you had some taken out and didn't feel the difference right away, you probably need more taken out. I would go back again...

Some people are just sensitive and have a lot of swelling after a fill. If you feel uncomfortable then by all means get an unfill. I can go as long as three weeks after a fill and still be swollen. My doctor said some people just have a sensitive stomach. If you cant keep things down they call and get in there.

It's not about gratitude. You are paying for your doctor's services, they're not being done out of the goodness of his heart. Going in for help when you need it has nothing to do with being ungrateful and everything to do with being smart and taking care of your self.

If I were in your shoes, I'd be getting another small unfill immediately. It doesn't matter if you have to go in there every day for a week to get to a point you're not too tight. You have to do what's best for you.

Best wishes.

You are definitely too tight if you can't even swallow Water. But you might be swollen, as my surgeon recommends 2 days clear and 2 days full liquids after fills and unfills. But 10 pounds in a weekend is scarey! By the way, if I had a fill on Friday, I would not have been allowed to eat all weekend!

I'm also sensitive and needed more time between adjustments and stayed on full liquids. Stressing about it can cause some lingering symptoms also. Yes, you should see your doctor, but also try to relax a bit and give your body time to adjust. You do need to be able to get liquids in though, definitely!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
