Lap Band Surgery Story

I have had my lap band for 12 years and at first lost 30 kilos. Gained 20 kilos back. Had fluid put in and taken out. Now after several years, the last 6 years have bowel leakage.

Has anyone else had this problem. I have to be careful what I eat.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Thank You

Mary Meyer

what does your doctor say? bowel leakage is a whole new ball game. see your doctor you need a upper and lower gi series to determine what is going on with your band and other problem. good luck to you

Iam having a procedure on Thursday to see whats going on. Not sure. Thanks for replying. I will keep in touch and let you know. I have had to change my diet. I don't seem to be able to eat dairy, meat, some tuna, it gets stuck in my throat a sophicus. can't spell it. Also vomiting. I had fluid taken out and that part is better, just the bowel leakage. Quite embarassing at times. I am off all dairy, red meat, and carb rich foods, no tea or coffee. Only warm water or water in general. anyone have any problems like this.
