Well tonight I thought of another one!!! I take a class at night, and it's on the second floor. I will admit I've always taken the elevator because I used to be winded. Well tonight I thought, I in better shape...why not take the stairs. And I did. And I wasn't out of breath!! I have no idea why I waited so long. Maybe just out of habit. I'm going to take the stairs from now on. Let me tell ya, that felt fantastic!!!! Yay.

how is your recovery going how are you feeling? Thanks for asking. It's going well, but slowly. I'm trying to quicken the pace and the surgeon and therapists are telling me not to be so anxious. I'm still on the walker even four weeks out. I thought I'd be done with it but not yet. The pain however, is more and more manageable and for that I'm grateful.

I have another one! About 4 yrs ago or so I was diagnosed with asthma which was because I was overweight. And if I caught a cold or sinus infection, my asthma would kick in.

Well, since I've lost weight, I'm not saying I'm cured, but this is the first time in a very very long time when I had a sinus infection, it doesn't hurt to breathe! My asthma didn't activate! For me this is HUGE! And actually, it was one of the things which pushed me towards getting the band. Being on so many different medications, and not being able to breathe really scared me. I feel almost like a normal sick person! Hahaha. If my head wasn't killing me right now, I'd probably go and Celebrate by running or something.

I'm so happy about this! Anyhoo, thanks for listening. :)

I think I finally had another good one! Today I went down one more size. That's not it, but I still like it. My belly roll is finally smaller than my boobs! Yay!!! I'm liking that one more than the smaller jeans!!!

Take it easy make sure u allow time to heal and recondition the knee you can cause order issues if u go to fast as u know :) In a few weeks u'll be running around like the surgery never happened :)

I only need ONE pillow to prop me up while I sleep..... I still use two (because I'm so used to it) but I don't feel like I'm dying when I only have one.

Went out last night and danced and danced and danced. Never once thought my feet hurt or sit this one out cuz I'm tired. I did sit some out if I was getting hot but there were plenty of people sweating so I know that was just the situation not me being out of shape. Met some new people and plan to go out next weekend too! (Happy dance lol)

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
