I Think I Know Why This Forum Is So Dead.

Recommended Posts

I wondered why this forum is so "dead" compared to the other three. I think you are losing a lot of members because the app won't all ow us to post. I had to open safari to post this.

If you would like a screen shot of the "Parse Error" I get every time I attempt to post here you can pm me on VST or give me an email to send it to since idk how to attach it through this avenue.

Plication is not an appropiate Surgical procedure.

It has all the disadvantages ( not removing ghreline, not allowing total stomach evaluation, high rate of failue, still grave complications) and no advantage ( it is NO REVERSIBLE) over sleeve.

For all of this reasons it is not accepted for any Surgical Society.

I'm testing from the IOS app at the moment. What type of device are you using please ? Have you attempted to restart the device and app ?

IMHO there's a lot less interest in this procedure over other weight loss surgery procedures because most Bariatric surgeons aren't performing Sleeve Plication Surgery as of yet.

I'm on an iPad. I've done a hard restart, deleted & reinstalled the app a couple times.

The app has been updated across all iOS devices. We've added support for iOS 6.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
