My insurance company just acknowledged the receipt of my application. They told me I'll have an answer on whether or not I've been approved in 5 working days. It's going to be the longest 5 days ever!

I was declined unfortunately. But have made the decision to self pay. It means a huge loan I'll be paying back for ages but from seeing what everyone says I'm sure it'll be worth every penny.

So sorry! If you don't mind me asking, for what reason were you declined?

My insurance said my comorbidities were not at a serious enough level to meet their strict comorbidity criteria. Little to no chance of sucess with appealing either, as the policy is very strict and you either meet ALL the thresholds or you dont. So my bank came to the party (luckily) and I hope to get a surgery date in the next week or so.
