I am pre-op for Monday 09/16 surgery and my surgeon said if I was going to cheat on the liquid diet to make sure I did it no later than Thursday dinner time. That would only be 3-full days before surgery on Monday morning 10:30, so I think you are okay.

i have my surgery on 9/18

I hope all goes well.

Have you done your pre-op? My doctor is only keeping me in the hospital 1-day. I was wondering if you were staying 2-days? 2-days seems to be the norm, so that has me worried.

I've been doing good' date=' I'm so disappointed.[/quote']

You're fine, breathe!

I am going in October and was told one night as long as everything was ok

Thank you' date=' i needed that. have you had surgery?[/quote']

Yes, and stupidly ate a grilled cheese the night before surgery. Not recommending that at all, but my surgery was 7 am and I was fine.

I am not saying you should eat, you should listen to your doctor. however, I was able to eat right up to noon the day before my surgery and then clear liq.the rest of the day...I know others who were able to eat right up to the day before also...so dont worry, it is not going to hurt you, you will be fine...:)

Thanks so much for saying that I feel better going into the surgery. Thanks so much for the support :) Did your doctor put you on a 2 week liquid diet?
