Ido know it won't be cancelled for sleep apnea - lite of people who have it still have surgery I jug think maybe they have to ale certain precautions during putting you out maybe ? But I'm positive I don't have it - I rarely snore - I wake up feeling tired because I'm unhealthy! Lol. That would be awesome for same or close dates! If everything goes planned - he told me probably second week in December!

I wake up a couple times a night but that's due to my knees and back hurting. I have to reposition my body. If I wasn't on any pain I think I could sleep all night! I'm just so excited to even be at this point! I know it's going to be a struggle after the surgery but I think we can get through it. I just pray I have enough energy to deal with my one year old and my foster daughters. I'm going to request that they leave for a week. Hopefully there isn't any complications so I don't have to stay longer in the hospital.

I don't have that luxury. Mine will be home but I have someone that's going to come stay with me. So I will still hear her throwing her fits and she will probably try to climb on me so I'm going to have to watch out for that. I'm going to get respite for my fosters. Hopefully they can find somewhere for them to go. I'm not stopping my surgery. That will be the agency's fault. It's hard sending them off since I've had them so long but they will only be gone a week.

Yes! One week won't be bad! I will miss her like crazy but - it for the best!

Just remember you won't be able to pick ip anything over 10lbs for the first 30days or you may create a hernia be cautious!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
