were you able to handle lactose after surgery?

My dietician recommends going lactose free after surgery. But there are some Premier protein shakes I have left that I would like to drink. I'm just scared to break rules at all because so far I haven't been nauseated or had any BM issues at all yet.

    I'm drinking protein shakes with skim milk and low fat cottage cheese with no problem at all. Try it, just start small if you are worried.
