Fellow May post ops,
Just wanted to start a thread to see how everyone is dealing with life after surgery. I am finally getting use to eating, taking my Vitamins, Protein, and maintaining my Fluid amounts (this was the hardest for me). When I first had the surgery it was difficult for me to deal with the social aspect of this surgery, such as going to the movies with out getting Snacks or sugary drink or meeting up with friends for a drink or dinner and not being able to enjoy the same things. I know these seem like such small things but to me at first it was quite difficult even though I did plan on this and prepare for it. Thank goodness that is over with!!! I have found new activities to enjoy and my friends still invite me out even when I am eating off their plates and they also like having a designated driver!!
Anyone else have stories of struggles or victories to share?
