Hi how are you coping now? I'm annoyed! My iv had to be redone 3 times. I am in pain and I'm in a 3 person room..

Hello, thank god, I was finally approved because they found my blood type. I had surgery yesterday, everything went very well. I have a lot of gas/insishion pain. I was just discharged and am going home. How did everything go with you?

I'm having gas pain too. In my lower stomach its the worst. They are keeping me tonight because I didn't get my 60oz of Water down today. Plus I'm still in pain so it's okay.

It didn't hurt, but let me tell you it was a very disturbing feeling. I could feel the tube moving out and being pulled from my insides. Be thankful when it is over lol. But no pain at least.

How those who made it home manage sleeping in bed? I'm still not sure how to get in and out and I really want to sleep there tonight. My body needs to lay flat. So far I just came home and took a nap in a semi-comfortable recliner.

How's everyone doing on figuring out when their pouch is full? I think I am just starting to. It is pressure/pain at this point. There's like this warning signal that comes with it of "If take one more sip everything is getting ejected." Is it like that for others?

Hello everyone, I am new to this site. I had surgery on 8/16 but I am a sleeve revision to bypass for gerd/reflux reasons. It'll be 2 weeks tomorrow and I am still in some pain (tore abdominal muscles post surgery) but it seems to be getting better everyday.

I am happy to be home, but almost wish I was still in the hospital, so it would be easier to control my pain. Last night was a long sleepiness night because of pain, but thank God for my wife that helps me out of bed. I spend half the night in bed, the other half in a recliner. It feels good not to be hungry, but I'm just too damn sore, but it will be worth it!

I know EXACTLY what you mean! I only get up out of bed to walk or eat or get in the recliner, whichever one doesn't hurt as bad...having a really hard time getting Water in...doing good with the Protein.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
