  1. the liquids are tough. water tastes awful. the shakes are boring but ok. AND due to my doc being out of office in two weeks I get to live on them for an extra week. Yay. Three weeks of full liquids. Finally gave up tonight and got a cup of broccoli and cheese soup from Panara and pureed it down and added a little extra milk. Now it is the same consistency as my shakes. Bur mmm tastes delicious! Btw, I noticed a bunch of you with constipation issues... I seem to be having the opposite issue. Is it the protein? I haven't gotten a lot of protein in consistently yet.
  2. Hey all! My surgery was 8/30 and I am home now. I am experiencing the nausea and dizziness but I know I am not getting enough fluids yet. I just can't get enough down yet. My doctors instructions were not to be too overly worried as long as I was getting at least a couple ozs of hydration every hour I was awake and I was still peeing. Definitely doing both. I have never been so excited about passing gas in my life! I feel like a 6year old giggling over it. But I have been passing gas and having bowel movements so I am pretty happy so far. My doc did a hiatal hernia repair at the same time as my bypass and that seems to be causing me the most pain. He had to put in a large patch. I haven't made it back out to walk since we got in yesterday, but that is where I am headed next.
