I just had my fourth fill yesterday. I was at 2.3cc's and now i'm at 2.6cc's. When the doc weighed me, I hadn't lost any weight. But I hadn't gained any so...i was still upset, but I know that it is my fault. cause i haven't been eating right and not exercising...Is anyone else going thru this right now? i was at 280 on 12-1-03 and now i'm at 228. I don't know what to do. Help.

WOW! I think you are doing great. I am not good with math but if I am correct you have lost close to 60 lbs in 8 or 9 months. Thats good. I am thinking of this weight loss as a slow adventure and Hey you didnt gain.. So it all sounds good to me. I have only been banded for 3 months but I allready know that I do better when I force the Water. Hopefully with your new fill you will get the scale moving again... Congratulations...Janie

Hi Dazzey,

I agree with everyone else and am impressed by your weight loss so far. I have always hated excercise too but I love to swim. I got invited to a Water aerobics class 6 months ago and have been diligently going ever since. I love it!!! Just try to think of something you enjoy doing and then it doesn't seem like such a hassle. Best of luck to you and hope the scale starts a downward trend soon. Teresa;)

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
