Got my surgery date! Excited and pertrified

I'm scheduled for August 6th. Aetna is still officially pending, but the insurance guru at the surgeon's office said that she's confident it'll get through. I am so excited to start this journey and get healthy and active again. However, I am also petrified. I've never had a serious surgery before and I am so scared of how painful it's going to be. Is it so painful that I am I really not going to be able to go back to work ( a total desk job with no lifting or anything) for two weeks?

Congratulations ! I'm August 14. When they called to give me the date I was so excited. Then the butterflies set in.

We should! It's so exciting to hear from you both. I'm glad it's not just me; Somehow feeling alone makes things scarier for me.

My wife and I are both scheduled for August 21! Exciting to finally see others scheduled in August :). Good luck

Thanks :)
