I can relate to the head hunger issue... it's raining it's blah ... i'm blah and have no motivation. My house is a disaster but I'd rather be outside... today I did a lot of snacky type stuff... all with in reason, but i probably wasn't really in need of eating. Hope the rain goes away soon!

Anyone have any "tricks" for dealing with head hunger. i find when i cannot get out of the house and am waiting on something ( like being on call 24-7 for the past week) i struggle with it. i can say my choices are healthy but still found myself wanting to eat for no good reason. any help would be awesome.

I have that. But it may not be just head hunger . I make a Protein Shake and maybe a cheese stick lite. Still I'm under my calories goal of 1400 . It seems to do the trick. Now it routine for me to make a Protein shake at night. I enjoy it and it keeps my metabolism going.

RJ- I don't have any tricks to fight the head hunger. I deal with it as well. I'm still trying to lose, but once again I play with 4 pounds up and down. Grrr!

I am rooting for you!

Good morning all, I just read through your post, good to see everyone doing great. Well although this surgery bought me great success for my health and appearance, it also bought me a divorce. I never thought this would happen to me, although I read the negative side. Well my life has changed and changed dramatically, I haven't worked since December 2013 as my husband agreed I can go to cosmetology school to obtain my life long dream of becoming a stylist, in the middle of school, he decided not to support me anymore, because I wouldn't allow him to bully and control me, I guess I gained a lil confidence, don't get me wrong, the only thing that has changed about me is my weight, my husband became jealous of the attention I was receiving, it was unbelievable, so now here we are, getting a divorce, me quitting school, he left me in debt up to my ears, and now I'm relocating from Chicago to Houston, but hey, I'm a fighter, I've come to far to break down or become weak. I thank God for strength...

My Husband's 90 year old Grandmother's favorite saying was "Its a Great Life if you don't weaken". You will get through this too - and come out the other side healthier and stronger for it. I too hope you will be able to find your way back to school. It is so important that we fight for our dreams! I'm pulling for you!!

pancreatitis: noun

definition: a condition were the patient is heard to say over and over "this f#$$ing really hurts/ sucks.

Sorry for the implied cursing but i have spent a fun 72 hours in my local hospital because of that noun. im lucky the doctors found nothing after lots of poking and prodding including a catscan and mri. in the end it comes down to massive weight loss has the real possibilities of this noun and gall stones.

I highly encourage you to get your thin backside to the ER/ hospital if you have belly pain, sweats, neasua.

Im ok now but for a number of hours on sunday were far from pleasent. i know alot of us in here qualify as "massive weight loss" and since i can attest to the severity of the pain thought it prudent to put this condition out there.

Have a great evening

RJ

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
