I have checked this out since saturday just to have a proper understanding of this before i posted this.

On Saturday i went to get my eyes examined and purchase new glasses since i was noticing that smaller print was getting difficult to read. this has been occuring for the past 4 months.

My Dr. tells me that the reason im having this issue is because my eye sight has drastically improved? my current perscription is apperently too strong and that is why i have been getting headaches more frequently and at the end of the work day.

He further explained this is not such an uncommon occurance in people who drastically change to a healthy Vitamin rich lifestyle. another benefit of this surgery ....healthy, slimmer and i can see better....score!!!!

The human body is an amazing thing!

That's pretty incredible! I've never heard such a thing. Good reason for a new set of frames.

My doc said I can take anything that doesn't have any NSAID in it. NyQuil or something should be fine.

I'm wondering what other June people are able to eat by now. I am still very limited on what I can eat. Mainly yogurt, pudding & soft food. What are others eating?

I can eat just about anything if I chew enough. Believe it or not, steak works well for me if its not well done, but chicken the pouch does not enjoy at all.

I can eat everything except for nuts and seeds, skins (such as on fruits and veggies), dried fruit, and corn. However I have tried all of these in VERY small amounts except corn. I think that corn is one of the worst things you can eat. It's up there with fried food in my opinion.

I should also note that most of my days have Protein Shakes and yogurt in them. I drink a Protein Shake for breakfast and a Greek yogurt for lunch.< /div>

I agree I usually have a Protein shake for breakfast. Protein Bars are common as well. I am not perfect at getting my protein in, but I figure its a process.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
